Understanding PARS Status and Common Border Delays

Last updated: July 11, 2026 · By the Demlog team

What PARS status means

Status can indicate whether data was received or a release decision is available. It does not replace instructions from the carrier or broker.

Common delay reasons

Missing documents, an incorrect CCN, uncertain classification, a missing permit, a CBSA examination or arrival before transmission.

What to do

Verify the complete number, confirm the broker received the documents and avoid presenting the truck before the carrier has appropriate instructions.

Important limitation

A tracker never guarantees release and should not replace direct communication when status is unclear.
